How does Apple AirTag work

Airtag works on tracking basis and works on Bluetooth. Apple airtag range of tracking an item is 800 feet. As apple has not specified its range but apple airtag supports Bluetooth 5.0 (which is supported by latest phones) so according to that it is trackable within 800 feet. The thing which is which the buyer should know about airtag is that it doesn’t track the user’s location.

You can use find my app (it is pre-installed on iPhone) if you had misplaced an item. Follow the steps.

1. Open Find my app on iPhone.
2. Tab the items tab.
3. Choose the airtag.
4. Tap play sound.
5. Lastly, Stop the sound when you find it.

How to Connect AirTag With iPhone?

It’s a simple process to connect your airtag with iPhone. Folowing are the steps.

1. To setup airtag, first pull out the tab of your airtag. It should play a sound.
2. Connect your airtag with your phone by placing near to your iPhone. If your iPhone doesn’t detect your airtag immediately then restart your iPhone and place it near the airtag, It would work properly.
3. Tap Connect
4. Choose a name for your airtag
5. Register your airtag with your Apple ID
6. Done

How Does Apple AirTag Charge?

Apple airtag doesn’t charge anything. The only is of it’s battery as it is replaced after an year. AirTag have user-replaceable CR2032 coin cell battery.

Does Apple AirTag Work With Android?

No, it can’t be connected to android devices. This tracker is only compatible with apple devices such as iPhone, IPod with at least iOS 14.5. Users can update their apple devices to the required OS. Compatible devices can track the airtag through find my app (which is pre-installed on my iPhones) to identify  the estimated location of the lost item.

Below are the cons of airtag:

1.      Does Not Work with Older iOS Versions:

As airtag doesn’t support older versions of iOS. This is the major drawback for the apple users whose devices are below 14.5 version of iOS. However, the version of iOS could be updated if it would be eligible on that device.However, iPhone 6 and its below variants are not supported for airtag as there is no new update available.

2.      Availability of Other Compact Object Trackers:

The major disadvantage of this device is that of its price tag. Airtag is relatively expensive as compared to smart tags from less known manufactures. Most of the smart tags retail at usd 10.00.
